Which DFW Parking Option Should You Choose?
One- or two-day trip
Start with Terminal Parking. The higher daily rate may be worth avoiding a shuttle on a very short trip, especially with luggage or children.
Three- to five-day trip
Compare Express North and off-site lots. This range often makes the balance between shuttle time, covered parking and total cost more noticeable.
Six days or longer
Compare Remote and reservable off-site parking. A difference of several dollars per day adds up quickly on a longer trip.
Early flight or late return
Confirm overnight pickup details. DFW instructs Remote guests to call between midnight and 5 a.m. and Express guests to call between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Electric vehicle
Check Terminals A and E. DFW lists Level II charging in the one-hour parking areas. Airport valet customers can also request complimentary charging.
Maximum convenience
Compare DFW Valet and FreedomPark. These are premium options for avoiding the normal park-and-shuttle routine.
Getting Between DFW Parking and the Terminals
Know your terminal
DFW has five active terminals: A, B, C, D and E. Confirm your airline’s check-in location, but remember that gates can change.
Use the right connection
Skylink connects all five terminals inside security. Terminal Link connects terminals outside security.
Add a parking buffer
Remote and off-site parking add time for finding a space, waiting for the shuttle, unloading and reaching the correct terminal.
Before You Leave Your Car
Check the full price
Compare the total stay, not only the advertised daily rate. Look for taxes, airport fees, service fees and partial-day rules.
Confirm the shuttle
Save the lot’s return-pickup instructions. Some locations require a phone call or app request after baggage claim.
Save your location
Take a photo of the row, level and nearest sign before walking away from the car.
Check construction
Road and garage work can change entrances, exits and shuttle stops. Follow current airport signage rather than relying only on an old map.

As checked in September 2026, official drive-up rates are $14 per day for Remote, $18 for uncovered Express North, $21 for covered Express North, $32 for Terminal Parking and $45 for DFW Airport Valet. Prebooked prices may differ.
What is the cheapest official parking at DFW?
Remote North and Remote South have the lowest standard official drive-up rate at $14 per day. Off-site reservation pricing can be lower depending on your dates.
Does DFW parking include a shuttle?
Remote and Express parking include complimentary shuttle transportation to the terminals. Off-site operators also commonly provide shuttle service, but schedules and pickup procedures vary.
Is DFW Express South open?
No. DFW says Express South is closed as Terminal F construction moves forward. Express North remains open.
Can I move between terminals after parking?
Yes. Skylink connects all terminals inside security, while Terminal Link operates outside security. If you park at the wrong terminal, allow extra time to transfer.
Should I reserve DFW parking in advance?
It is worth comparing prebooked prices during holidays, school breaks and other busy periods. A reservation can also reduce the risk that your preferred product is unavailable.
